Is there someone out there for lovely, 11 year old Mia?
Who can give her all the love and TLC she deserves during her twilight years?
Mia was taken into foster after being left alone in the house for quite a number of days
after her elderly owner was admitted into hospital.
She has had at least 3 homes over the years and had been used for breeding.
Basically, Mia is soooooo nice, completely accepting of ear cleaning, eyewashing, nail cutting,
jabs and grooming, all of which needed attention.
Mia has no food aggression at all, walks sensibly with the dog walker and takes treats really gently;
She is fine with being in a crate at night time or when the foster pops out.
She obviously sleeps a lot because of her age, so doesn't nag for attention;
Mia is an opportunist and will steal food, so one has to shut all edibles out of reach,
she's a big girl and can stretch to get at food!
Mia is a peaceful dog, will woof half heartedly at the postman
but can't hear the milkman and most often seems 80% deaf.
She travels well in a car.
However, Mia is not yet well behaved with other dogs and needs teaching manners.
All due to clear lack of experience of the outside, she should get better socialised when carefully managed.
Heaven knows what previous owners ever did for her, other than feed her and use her to breed from.
Everyone who meets Mia, loves her, she is perfect in the house.
An older person or couple would find her a pleasure,
especially if it was somebody with a decent garden and some experience in teaching manners when out.
